Delete your Amourly account
This page explains how to delete your account in Amourly, the couples app by Amourly. You can delete your account and its data at any time, in the app or by email if you no longer have the app.
Delete your account in the app
Open Amourly and go to Profile → Settings → Delete account, then confirm. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out on that device.
Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email support@amourly.app with the subject “Delete my Amourly account”. Send it from the email address on your account so we can confirm the request is yours. We’ll delete the account and reply to confirm once it’s done.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove from Amourly’s servers:
- Your account and sign-in sessions
- Your profile, including your name and profile photo
- Your couple connection and the couple data you created, such as memories, places, special days, love notes, stories, doodles, question answers, and streaks
- Your notes and journal entries
- Photos, videos, and other media you uploaded
- Push notification device tokens and in-app notifications
- Subscription status stored in your Amourly account
What your partner keeps
Deleting your account disconnects you from your partner. Content your partner created stays in their account, including a photo you added to a memory they saved. If you created the couple space and your partner is still in it, it stays with them. If no one else is in it, it is deleted with your account.
What may be kept
Some records are held outside Amourly’s app data or are kept for limited purposes:
- Purchase and subscription records held by the App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat, which are kept under their own policies and any legal or tax obligations
- Records we must keep for legal obligations, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention, kept only as long as needed for that purpose
- Analytics and crash reports held by our analytics and monitoring providers, kept for their standard retention periods
- Copies in short-lived system backups, until those backups expire
Subscriptions
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings to stop future renewals.
